2008-09-02 Special Investigation Service will Again Encourage to Report on Corruption in September

During whole September, the Special Investigation Service will once again encourage not to be indifferent and report on potential cases of corruption. The anti-corruptive social advertising encouraging to call and to report will be displayed on the outdoor video screens in Vilnius, Klaipėda, Alytus, Kėdainiai, Mažeikiai, Telšiai ands Utena again from the 1st until the 30th of September.

The studies show that 12 second clip encouraging to actively contribute to the fight with corruption broadcasted in spring (April-May) in five largest cities of Lithuania as well as Telšiai, Alytus, Kėdainiai, Utena and Mažeikiai 90 thousand times was noticed by 34.1 per cent of the residents of the country.

Anti-corruptive social information was mostly noticed by the residents of Panevėžys – it was observed by 60.3 per cent of the respondents. The notice of the Special Investigation Service was noticed by 46.4 per cent of the residents in Klaipėda, by 38.6 per cent - in Šiauliai, 39.9 per cent - in Kaunas, 20.1 proc. – in Vilnius.

It is expected that the campaign which will be repeatedly conducted in September will strengthen the wish of people not to reconcile to the expressions of corruption, and report to the Special Investigation Service, having noticed any of them.
