2009-01-13 Images of artistic projects - on Kaunas city screens
Various artistic projects discover new spaces for dispersion – outside screens.
During 3 first weeks of January, the panorama of Kaunas biennale artists’ works is shown on outside screens in Kaunas city. The sphere of the project named “Friendly zones#1” is life of the city and the role of the artists in it. The primary aim of expression of artistic ideas – to invite people to think over the feeling for Kaunas city, and with the help of visual form of the projects it is sought to generate people‘s interest and to open our memory and experience corners that are often blocked.
With the help of this project we desire to spread an idea of the artist as the mediator between culture and society.
Dynamic images of artistic ideas are shown 180 times per day on the outside screens in Kaunas city. That is open possibility to release inhabitants and guests of the city from the searching of artistic manifestations in the places which are specially dedicated for similar projects: implemented dynamic artistic ideas find the watchers themselves.
